Every page carries a score for how useful it is to the person reading it. Browsing and search both follow that order.
Who can change it?
Join The Grid and you can improve organization, fund, and wiki pages. Your own profile is yours.
Does a thin page get dropped?
No. A quiet page ranks lower and stays listed.
What the score looks at
Four things, weighed together. None of them is a hurdle to clear.
Substance
How much the page actually says. A page that answers a reader’s question sits above one that only proves someone exists.
Connections
How the page ties into the rest of The Grid. Quality carries across a link. A few real connections are worth more than a long list of loose ones.
Checked by people
Whether people have worked on it. A claimed profile reads as better checked than one nobody has touched. So does an entry a few people have improved.
Upkeep
Whether it has been kept up. Pages fade slowly rather than falling off. A page that was right when it was written is still worth reading.
What moves your page up
In the order that helps most.
Claim your profile
It’s the clearest sign a profile is real, and it’s what lets you edit your own. Everything below gets easier once it’s done.
Write a real bio
This matters more than any other single thing on the page. Write it for someone deciding whether to call you.
Fill in the rest
A title, a photo, a website, what you do. If you’re open to being contacted, add an email or phone and show it.
Link yourself to the work
Connect your profile to the organizations, funds, and topics you’re part of. A few real ones beat a long list.
Improve other pages too
Fixing an organization page or an answer lifts that page. A stronger page next to yours lifts yours as well.
Come back when something changes
A page that gets kept up stays ahead of one left alone. There’s no schedule to keep.
That list is written for a person’s profile. The same order works for an organization, a fund, or a wiki entry. Overview first, then the facts, then the links.
AI-assisted writing counts the same
We don’t score a bio differently because a model helped draft it. What counts is whether the page says something real.
The one place authorship shows up is people. A page several people have improved reads as better checked than one nobody has touched. A bulk import counts as one contributor, whoever or whatever ran it.
A thin page is never removed from search
A page with little on it sits further down a list. That’s the whole consequence.
The page stays live on The Grid and stays crawlable. Ranking low is a reason to add to a page, not a reason we hide it.
Something looks wrong
Organization, fund, and wiki pages are open to anyone who has joined The Grid. Open the page, choose Edit, and change what’s wrong.
Your own profile is yours to edit once you’ve claimed it.
